The offer is limited to one redemption per DirecTV Now account, with two shipments allowed per household. Classy way to tote around your MacBook Pro while also keeping it well-protected. I just had DirecTV installed this week at my new place and don't have a TV upstairs yet, I DO however have a MacBook Pro 17' Laptop and would like to just use that for now upstairs. I DO have WHOLE-HOME DVR and a 2nd receiver upstairs.
Directv Now For Macbook Pro
I'll make it short and sweet....
I have an Intel Based MacBook Pro and a HD DirecTV Tuner with DVR capabilities.
I also have a 20' Apple Cinema Display, that is pretty much doing nothing at this point.
What I would like to do is, somehow connect my DirecTV Tuner to my MacBook Pro, and then use the Dual Monitor option so that I can display the DirecTV HD video on my 20' display while I work away on my laptop monitor.
I do not want to plug my DirecTV receiver directly into my display because I would like to be able push the sound through my MacBook Pro.
It would look something like this:
DirecTV HD RVR receiver (Video and Audio) --> MacBook Pro --> Video to Second Monitor (Apple Cinema) and Audio Through MacBook Pro
Does this make sense? Is there some sort of HD video input card? I searched around and couldn't find anything.
Thanks!
